Ramona Martinez, JD, is General Counsel for the New Mexico State Audit Department. Previously, she owned the Law Office of Martinez-Salopek practicing criminal defense, civil, contract, and family law. Ramona grew up in rural Tierra Amarilla and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law. She has held leadership roles with the NM Border Authority, the NM Sentencing Commission, and the NM Hispanic Bar Association. In 2022, Ramona was recognized with the Contract Defender Award highlighting her significant impact in defending those in need.
